elegant productivity- the habits guiding my success
Success doesn’t come from luck or shortcuts; it’s built through intentional habits that align with your goals. This edit focuses on areas in my academics, wellness, and overall balance in life. These habits not only give structure to my days but also keep me motivated and grounded. Here’s how I stay on track:
Study Habits That Work for Me
-
Plan Ahead:
My whole life is in Notion. At the beginning of every semester, I add all assignment due dates and important deadlines into a tracker I make. This keeps me organized and ensures I’m never caught off guard. -
Prep Before Class: I always review main ideas or concepts from the readings before lectures. Even if I don’t finish the full reading, having a general understanding helps me stay focused and prevents me from feeling lost. I give myself a challenge and win by making sure I understand what I reviewed beforehand.
-
Tackle Tasks Early: If I have time before lectures, I find a quiet spot to tackle small tasks or start assignments. Gradually working on assignments long before they’re due reduces stress and improves the quality of my work.
-
Engage with Professors: I’m not afraid to ask questions during office hours or even make small connections with professors. This shows initiative and often makes a difference in how engaged I feel in their classes.
-
Participate Actively: Group discussions are a priority for me because they facilitate learning and help me grasp concepts better- I don't overdo it, but when I know the answer and it's appropriate, my hand is going up. Plus, active participation doesn’t go unnoticed by professors.
-
Take Breaks: During long study sessions, I get up to walk, stretch, or simply breathe. These short breaks are mental resets that remind me I’m in control of my time and energy
Wellness & Pilates Habits
-
Health Is Wealth: I always tell myself, health is wealth, every morning. Taking care of my body is non-negotiable. For me, it’s a reflection of discipline and consistency—both values I hold dear.
-
Wear What Inspires You: I’m a firm believer that how you dress influences how you feel. For example, matching Alo workout sets make me feel confident and motivated to show up.
-
Stick to What You Love: Pilates and Lagree are my workouts of choice because they genuinely bring me joy. Having a supportive environment filled with like-minded individuals makes it easier to stay consistent.
-
Set Realistic Goals: My goal is to go 2-3 times a week. This keeps me challenged without overdoing it, allowing time for my body to recover and avoid injury.
-
Notice the Results: Staying consistent has made me fitter and stronger, and Pilates + Lagree has become more than a habit; it’s a part of who I am.

Overall Daily Habits
-
Prioritize Sleep: I wake up between 4-6 AM because I love getting an early start. For me, sleeping in means no later than 8 AM. Prioritizing rest helps me stay energized and focused.
-
Evening Rituals: I always end my day with tea to debloat and relax. This nightly ritual signals to my body that it’s time to unwind.
-
Time Management: I’m disciplined about my schedule and rarely work on assignments past 9-10 PM. Clear boundaries help me stay productive without burning out.
-
Long-Term Vision: I constantly remind myself that the hard work I put in now will pay off in the future. Success isn’t handed to anyone; it’s earned through consistency, discipline, and a commitment to being the best version of yourself.
Final Thoughts
These habits aren’t just routines—they’re investments in my future. Whether it’s staying ahead in school, maintaining wellness through Pilates, or embracing a disciplined schedule, each habit reflects my commitment to living intentionally. I know that no one is coming to save me, so it’s up to me to create the life I want—one step, stretch, and habit at a time.
With love,
Maria Diana
